"I don't know what it is about food your mother makes for you, especially when it's something that anyone can make - pancakes, meat loaf, tuna salad - but it carries a certain taste of memory” by Mitch Albom. Like what Mitch said, in the Chinese culture, woman or mom is the one who do everything at home such as cooking, taking care of the kids, and do laundry. I think it might still happens in the American culture as well. Although my dad cooks sometimes at home, but he will never do laundry at home. I think this is a idea spread all over the Chinese culture thousands of year ago, that the woman should take care of the house. I think is even worse nowadays because woman does double job now, because they have to go to work and when they go home they need to cook, take care of the kids and do all the house chores. like what it said on the ad "tough detergent for tough moms" It is indeed that moms are tough on the inside and outside. But on the other hand I still think it would be better if husbands and wives should divided the job in the house equally instead.

post # 6 "Listen to your heart" - racial and gender diversity
1. The movie I chose is called "Listen to your heart". In this movie it does reflect racial and gender diversity because in this movie the main character are a deaf girl and a caucasian boy and he has a black guy friend. This show a big variety of racial and gender diversity. In the movie the caucasian boy and the black boy worked together at a restaurant and they are best friends. At the end the caucasian guy had cancer and he told the black boy that they are brothers. and because the movie was cast in New York, there are people from other places too in this movie. This kind of diversity is important in media because when they make a movie like that, there will be no gap between people. It will concoct every culture and every race together as a whole. They will bring peace and love to the world. And there not be complaints also. It will be fair for everybody and create equality.
2. I don't think there is really social or gender stereotypes present in the movie but there is a problem because the caucasian works at the restaurant and is not rich, so the main actress' mom doesn't want them to be together. There were also problem when the deaf girl went to school, her classmate looked down on her because she can't hear. The element that prevent being stereotypical is that they made the black guy and the white guy be best friends. And the white guy loves music but he is dating a deaf girl. In this case, there is no barrier between different relationships. On the other hand, it might be stereotyped by not putting the black guys photo on the poster, instead everyone who are on the poster is white.

First of all, I don't think racially stereotype for advertising purposes is ever right, because we should treat everyone to be equal. Especial commercials are everywhere in the world. and nowadays people can get access to the internet everywhere at home , or on phones, iPad, laptops. And it will make impact for people's mind. Therefore I believe is never right to racially stereotype for any advertising purposes. The world need peace and love not racially stereotype.
I don't think racism in advertising a thing of the past because there are still some ad shows racism. I have include a photo that show the racism because in the ad, the "white" man is standing and the rest of the "black" man are bowing down to him.Lastly, I do think advertisers have ethical responsibilities because like what I said advertising are everywhere. when we want to show some thing on the internet it is the advertisers's responsibility to not be racism. They should create equality in the advertisement for everyone who lives on the planet.

I haven't heard anything about Super Bowl before I came to the United States, and since I am not very interested in any of the sports I didn't really care about Super Bowl. But on the Super Bowl day, no matter where I go, whether at the restaurant or car wash the game is on the TV. And also my friends will organized big parties to watch the Super Bowl together.
Since I am not very interested for the game, the mass advertisings for the Super Bowl game really attracts my attention. My favorite commercial for the Super Bowl is from McDonald. The "McDonald's: Super Bowl XLIX Pay With Lovin" really grab my attention. I like the way how they did for the ad, is that when they just call someone and tell them that they love whoever they called, they will get a free meal. I believe this is a good way to express love for one another. And of course when people are watching the game, they would eat some thing. and they can just share their love and get a free meal, every body should do that for the Super Bowl game. To me is like when someone love a game so much, they must love someone more than the game. The person they love should be the priority to them, not the game.

Post #2 My favorite Advertising agency
After search about some of the advertising agencies that are located in the San Francisco bay area. My favorite agency would be the Propane Studio. From the list of the top 10 digital agencies in San Francisco, Propane Studio ranked # 3 and titled "The Agency that's Fire Up", the agency started since 2003 and most recently worked with Hitachi, Kaiser Permanente, Macy's, Pandora, and Volkswagon. And according to the website, it says that " Propane is an agency that sees brands as an interactive "ecosystem" of experiences and aims to change the way people connect with those brands." They are also looking for relationships with the client as well. I like this agency because I liked the way how they present things, and how they want to be ecosystem. These photos on the bottom show how they have worked for Macy's. I like the color they have used and they way they designed the bus and the website, it just grabs the viewer's attention so well. Everything went well also because their campaign is "centered on a web-based reality series that follows young musicians looking to get their start in the music industry."It definitely attracts younger musicians attention.
